School Surveys

State Technology Survey

The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) has partnered with the University of Alabama to conduct a statewide school technology survey.  The purpose of this survey is to build a statewide repository detailing Internet connectivity and Internet-enabled digital device availability to inform decision makers as we expand remote learning capabilities and enhance high-quality instruction to students around the state.

Whether a student is attending school in a traditional classroom setting, virtually, or a blended version of traditional and virtual, it is important that we hear from parents across the state as the survey responses will impact our efforts to respond to ongoing changes relating to remote and blended learning options throughout our state.  Please take a few moments to share and complete this statewide school technology survey.  The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, July 31, 2020.

Dallas County School System Back to School Survey

Thank you for supporting our school system through the extended closure during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we prepare to reopen the Dallas County School System in the fall we are asking for your assistance in making sure our new school year is safe, healthy, and conducive for all stakeholders (students, parents, and staff). We are beginning to plan for the 2020-2021 school year, and we need your help making sure we meet the needs of all members of the Dallas County School System's educational community. We are focusing on academics, operations (health, transportation, nutrition), as well as student, family, and staff support. However, we cannot complete this process without your family’s input. Therefore, we are requesting your support through the completion of this survey.

The purpose of this survey is to obtain feedback as we plan the best options for our families, employees, and the community. Please assist us by completing this seven question survey in its entirety. Currently, our intent is to start school on August 20th for students. If our service to students needs to change, we want to obtain your input on the continuum of the educational process. Decisions about reopening in the fall will be publicized on the district's website, schools' web pages, and the system’s Facebook page no later than July 25th.

Please complete only one survey per family per school to ensure we receive accurate data.
