ATTENTION: Read for the Record Day - October 19, 2017
Let's Read Dallas County Schools!
Every School Reading - Every School Achieving
The book we are reading this year across the nation is entitled Quackers.
Quackers is a delightful story about a kitten who grows up believing he’s a duck, until the day he meets another kitten.
What follows is a sweet tale about understanding, acceptance, and learning it’s okay to be whoever you want to be.
Let's help break a world record. Let's read to our students. Let older students read to the younger students.
It’s Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®, a national campaign intended to bring children and adults together to read the same book, on the same day, in places all around the world. The campaign was launched over ten years ago to bring awareness to educational inequality issues and help ensure that children from all backgrounds are prepared to start kindergarten.
